We will have an auction at the Tulsa Barbecue to benefit the S&W Historical Foundation.
We have always auctioned a few items for the barbecue kitty, which we can still do.
Then we will switch to items for the benefit of the SWHF.

Anything you'd care to donate would help move the project forward- a pair of grips, or an old box, catalogs, etc. I believe I am correct in saying that it would be tax deductible at the selling price! Just bring them along to the barbecue Sat nite.

Good idea , Lee. If you will donate all your Reg. Mag. boxes, grips & grip adapters, I will submit an absentee bid. OK? Ed.

Hey Lee, "Fool me once - your fault - Fool me twice, my fault!" -- I'm still trying to find somebody who will buy the "bunchastuff" you donated to the S&WCA auction! (I never knew Reg. Mags. were shipped in boxes that said "Geritol" on the sides!)

Those boxes are, indeed, QUITE rare. Once we get the records digitized, all you will have to do is search "Geritol Box" for all the provenance you need!

Lee, That's great info! I have this old S&W gang mold that says .77 caliber. I thought it was for Civil War Minie balls, but my Doctor said it was for making suppositories! It fits nicely in that Geritol box. As soon as I get that digitized letter, I'll put it on eBay! Ed.

Aw shucks, Lee! Life's too short without succumbing to a little temptation, now & then! The Lord will forgive you and you will get your reward in Heaven ( or maybe due pennance!) Kinda reminds me of the old story about Billy Bob and Bubba. They were life long buddies who always shared a table at the gun shows. One day Billy Bob got to thinking and said to Bubba, " I wonder if there's any Gun Shows in Heaven?" Bubba said, "Let's make a pact. Whoever gets to Heaven first, has got to send a message back if there's gun shows," So they agreed, and a couple of weeks later Billy Bob was making his monthly 'shine run and rolled his truck, causing him to depart this mortal coil. Bubba was by himself at the next show and it was sort of slow by Sunday afternoon and Bubba was half asleep at the table, when he heard a voice calling him. Bubba said," Is that you Billy Bob?' and the voice said, "Yes, it's me and you ought to see this place! Gun shows every weekend. Sam Colt has a whole row of tables, and ole D.B.Wesson & Horace Smith have near 1/2 the room, plus Ollie Winchester is across the aisle from me. It's the greatest! All guns are mint and prices are the original cost! That's the good news, Bubba. The bad news is that you have the front table next weekend! Ed.

To all,
We had a lot of nice donations for the auction. Therefore, on behalf of the Cheely's, the officials of the SWHF, and myself, I will take the liberty of extending a "THANKS!" to all participants and attendees.
We raised about $3600, and had a good time. I think it was very gratifying for all.

Lee,

It was a great Idea on your part. Thanks. I kept waiting to bid on the special little snubbie you showed off but they never did put it up for bid
