What dealer/suppliers have S&W 1917 parts in stock, Like an orginial ejector rod?
I'm not having much luck finding one.

Your best bet may be to buy a "junker" like a 1937 Brazilain, swap out the parts you need, and sell it off "as is"

I checked/ check Numrich and Sarco and several other sights but
I though someoen might have a better idea. The 1937 Brazilain, might be the way I have to go.
Now go look for a parts gun for someone not wanting $$$$$$$$$$$ for it.

Don't just check the website. Call Gunparts. I believe they even suggest that.
