So the claim is that this was a former "West German Olypic Team" pistol... I pointed out that it was a revolver, not a pistol. Probably not a good negotiating tactic!

Anyway, my question, are these things supposed to be this good?

I mean, I've got absolutely no business shooting this well! These are at about 30 feet or so, single action. The one on the right is "old school" one handed, the other one with both paws on the grips. Ammo was the cheap stuff they had at the range.
Granted, this was after a few boxes through it to get used to the trigger (very light single action, double action felt like dragging a rusted wheelbarrow full of bricks backwards through a barbwire fence) but I'm still pretty impressed. From the looks of it, I had kind of assumed that it had been hard used, but might still serve perfectly as a "shoot it all you want" plinker and handgun instruction piece.

Now, about the "West German Olympic Team" bit.... Maybe they did use the thing! Anyone have any hard info one way or the other?

Actually with ammo that they like they are capable of even better performance. The key is to find ammo that it likes.
