Finally got to shoot my 1954-55 357 magnum 3.5" today. All I can say is WOW! The gun felt great and it was deadly accurate. I could not believe how well I was shooting with it. What a great gun,it is my new favorite and I will have to own more than just this one now. I understand why I see post with pics of several 27's together. I was gettig some funny looks today when I pulled it out, I'm just glad I shot well and didnt make the gun look bad. I will carry this one when my holster gets here.

****** pic but Im workin on my skills. I took these matching grips off to save and put a set of grashorn stags on it. It was advertised as 95% but I think its a little less than that. Which turns out to be a good thing now I dont worry about using it or carrying it.

Sir, good on ya. FWIW, I was amazed at how accurate my 3.5-inch 27-2 was when I first got it. It acts like a bigger gun.

Mine dates to 1953, with the same Grasshorn grips. It is my most accurate S&W, (but the 6" 29 comes real close).

Pitdog, just a suggestion. Try photographing dark guns on a light colored background and vice versa. They seem to show up a bit better that way.
