Miss June, 1956
There were 787 .44 Magnums shipped and produced in 1956 and S160435 pictured here was one of them. June, 1956 was by far the most productive month for the manufacture of these first year 44 magnums as a little over 25% of the year's total was produced in June alone.
Enjoy
Chuck

Finally!
Chuck, I've been waiting for this one...A "June" beauty!
Thanks for the Great pic's!
I'd like to consider this fine .44 the "Irish Twin" of mine,
S160387, shipped June 11th, '56! (I know you remember it well! Thanks....)
FYI ; "Von Lengerke & Antoine" was the Chicago branch of Ambercrombie & Fitch. A little history of which can be found at the following web site.

J.C. thanks for the history link. I can always count on you to find more background on the places where these 50 year old revolvers first called home.

Very nice, just like the others so far, and I'm sure like those yet to come.
I was looking forward to meeting you at the show. I'm sorry I missed you. Weren't these guns going to be displayed there this year?

G4F-that was the master plan but a family emergency derailed it. I'm shooting for Tuscon next year.
