S&W 1957 Pre 10 model 38 special 6 in. barrel

Can someone please help us get some pricing information on our S&W 1957 Pre 10 model, 38 special 6 in. barrel revolver?

It is in excellent condition has been stored for over 20 years. We are wanting to trade this in on a new larger revolver but don't know what to ask for in trade in value.

Any & all help will be appreciated.

Pretty common gun and not high demand unless you have the box, etc. You'd be lucky to get $200 to 250 on a trade from a dealer. You'd be better off putting it up for sale here on the Form

Trade in? I think the dealer will be telling you what he'll allow,not the other way around.To him,it's worth whatever he deems to be wholesale value,which can vary greatly depending on condition and demand in his area.A gun he envisions as a slow mover might be worth but 75-100 to him.
Easiest way to sell would be a direct local sale,followed by a sale on a forum such as ours.
