Default 1950 Target 45 ACP

I just wanted to show this 1952 1950 Target (Pre- 26) that I picked up last week at a small gunshow in Northern Indiana. I am starting to see more & more nice older guns coming out of the closets . Must be the economy. I`m not sure of the value but at $700. I figured the Cokes were worth a good part of that. Anyway, here she is.

You did very well on this one. Yes the stocks are worth just about what you paid for the revolver.

An absolute steal. Congratulations. On the shelves of stores I know in California, the asking price would be about twice what you paid.

Fine lookin' gun!
Is the box original? If so, that just adds gravy to an already great deal.

No The gun came in a zippered pouch so I put it in a plain blue box that I already had. Thanks for the comments.

Default Pre 26

Your next move should have been the nearest lottery ticket outlet, luck was in your pocket. Very nice, and the grips are a very large bonus.

You did great. That's the kind of thing that keeps me going to those gun shows no matter what size they are. You just never know.

Default I was the only bidder on this 1950

I recently bought a 1950 on GB for the starting bid of $750 (+ shipping). Even though I haven't picked it up yet, it has arrived at my dealer and it looks better than the pictures. It appears to have non-original grips which suits me fine - I generally replace them anyway with checkered wood Sile grips that I like the feel of. Looks like a good shooter. The letter from S&W is a bonus!

Here's the listing:

Yours still looks nicer though, and what a great price! Tough to find one under a grand these days.
