Class B-engraved 44 Magnum
This 44 Magnum was shipped in June 1956 and was Class B-engraved by Virginia LeBlanc. The stocks on the revolver are plain Magnas made of rosewood. I looked for over ten years before I found the correct stocks for this masterpiece.

Doc44, that is a beautiful gun. Here is my 44 mag, made in 1975 and engraved by Shannon (not factory) then nickeled;

You don't hear Virginia LeBlanc's name very often, but I love her work. Compared to other engravers, the portion she didn't engrave is as artful as the engraved portion. I've also seen her use fleurs-de-lis, which make this Louisiana boy happy. Thank you for sharing.

Outstanding example of B engraving. I have always felt B engraving is the best option. It gives pretty good coverage, is less expensive, and possibly more rare, as people tend to go with A engraving. Good show!

I believe this is the one I mentioned that I like to you in Troy. I really like the partial engraving, and the whole package is outstanding.

Bill, that's a gorgeous engraving pattern on that one. The rosewood stocks really set it off.
Thanks for sharing it.

I think Barry hit the nail on the head. That scroll-work is sublime.
Thanks Again,

I am usually not one for engraved guns but that is breath taking. Very detailed and not over done. Congrats man.

Like others who are not really fans of engraved revolvers, I'm adjusting my attitude this morning to express appreciation for this one.
The restraint shown by the engraver is extremely appealing. Sometimes with engraved revolvers I get the feeling that the process didn't stop just because the artist ran out of canvas before running out of paint. Not this time.

Well, I do like engraved revolvers (not every example but in general) and I think that is a very handsome piece. Not crazy about the smooth Magnas, but I realize this is what came on it so that's what you want to display.

Very nice
I like the B engraving better than A myself, although the only engraved one I had was an A engraved 29-2 (long gone)
