Couldn't Resist - Model 34-1
Had a chance to pick up this 34-1 yesterday. Certainly didn't need another 22 cal revolver but you don't see kit guns in this condition often.
Took it to the range this morning and was hitting a 2"dot at 21 feet right away.
I think I'll hang on to it and let it keep my 34-1 4" and Model 43 company.
Please pardon the smudges in the pics but I know the rule: no pic/it didn't happen.

Very nice indeed. I've been wanting a 34 forever but 2 things are holding me back. First, I need another 22LR like a hole in the head and second, I cant find a really nice one for less than $900 bucks. You start getting near a grand and there are loads of other pretty gals that I need to complete the harem.

Very nice. Those 2" Model 34 are handy. I am watching one on GB this week, hoping it doesn't go over my budget.

This one was in 98% condition and $475 out the door.
Which one of you would have passed it up?
I didn't think so!

Man, that's really nice, and at $475 it's even nicer.
In a snarky, nasally W.C. Fields voice, "Ah yes. A snub nose target gun. Bulls eye every time. Any more barrel and it wouldn't be fair."

I have one just like it, and really like it, but, every time I look at those adjustable sights and that cute little snubby barrel I smile, and say.... WHY ??

Got to love the 34's and 63's. Great price, mine was that much 5 years ago from Cabela's in rogers. Never can have too many 22's.

I paid $800 for a new one in the box from 1988 a year ago. It was a little high, but I haven't seen any of them floating around for sale lately.

For that price.
All day long and twice on Sundays.
Very Nice short barrel.
You did the right thing.

Heck yeah...
I'm looking for a nice 4" but at that price, I'd jumped too.

The 2" M34 is where I started on my quest. Nice ones at a reasonable price were hard to find. That's putting it mildly. Striking, yours seems to be very accurate and that is not unusual. Tell us what ammo you were using for that group. These little .22's tend to be just that, accurate. As for adjustable sights on a 2", I hear you. But it works.

To answer a couple of your questions:
(1) I live in VA
(2) I was shooting Federal bulk ammo off hand at 21'
The adjustable sights do seem a bit silly, but you can't argue with the results.
What a neat little gun!

BTW, those target sights look pretty good after trying to find the front sight on my Colt Vest Pocket!
