Default Need advice about a model 19 -4

Hello all.

I'm new to this very interesting forum and I'm looking for some advice about a model 19-4. A local shop has a s&w model 19 which is in excellent condition. Only extras with it is a case, no box or papers. Is 550$ too much for this model?

Thank you for any information and this is a great forum on S&W .

Welcome to the forum. That does seem a little
high. For that price it should be near mint and have
box papers and tools. Don't forget you still have to
pay sales tax and back ground check. Don

I bought a 19-4, 6" in good shape with no box for $375.00 I think $550.00 is too much.

May be I'll hold off and look around for something else. It's in like new condition but no papers or box coming with it. Just the soft case . Was very well maintained. Thanks for the replies.

I'll make an offer and go from there. Even if I get a few boxes of ammo and cleaning stuff may do. If I found something out of state or on the internet I would still have to pay transfer fees. It is a very clean piece and I haven't seen too many used guns in this of shape.
