Default Got a Model 19-4 today. I feel great

I traded my 19-3, 2-1/2" about 3 months ago for a model 66-3, 4" and have regretted it ever since.
Came across this 19-4, 2-1/2"today and just couldn't say no. I guess the gun monster got found his "Get Out of Jail Free" card today.

Ser# 82K784x, Pinned and recessed and absolutly perfect stocks.
Only 6 rounds ever fired thru it. I got the holster with it too. The muzzle doesn't have any bluing worn off.
It's almost perfect!

I feel like I've been redeemed or something.

Can't wait to get it on the range. I'm so Happy!!!

Thumbs up

That's a beauty. I have the same gun, with a bit more wear, and it is one of my favorite shooters (with Pachmayr Compac grips).

Nice find.

Nice job in picking this one up; looks great! I'm curious, what are your impressions of the -4, compared to your old -3...?

I passed on a nice 2 1/2" 19-3 about a month ago, and I've been regretting it ever since... I'm glad that your angst has cleared!

Default Comparing my -3 to my new -4

This -4 is like new. I wish I had the -3 to actually match them up to each other.
Everything pretty much feels the same. My first impression is that the cylinder gap is smaller on the -4, and the notch cut into the barrel for the cylinder mating seems to be slightly smaller than on the -3.
I may be wrong on that but it's a distinct impression.

Yes, I really like the -4 and would buy another in a heartbeat if I get a chance like this again.

I was so excited about finding this one I called my pastor and he said it sounded like "I had just been redeemed", and yes he intended the pun.
