Default 2nd model hand ejector seen today

...at the little Florence, AL gunshow - a 6 1/2" (I think, definitely not a 5") 2nd model .44, nickel. Nickel, if not redone, was pretty nice. I discussed the idea of whether it had be re-nickeled with the owner, who was not adamant but of the opinion that it was original. If a re-do, the polishing was very well done, no fade outs or obviously overbuffed areas noted in my quick inspection. I didn't spend a lot of time on it b/c I knew I wasn't going to buy it, but the asking price of $695 seemed pretty reasonable, and was likely somewhat negotiable. A few other nice S&Ws spotted but none seemed inclined to follow me home today. Right now I'm holding out for a 3 1/2" 27 to go with the 5" one I already have. Same guy also had a nice 6" M-48 asking $495, again, seemed reasonable. All in all a pretty entertaining little show today.

Both guns would be nice guns to have. I think his
prices seem pretty good. He might give you a good deal
if you bought both guns. Then you could post some
bragging pictures. Sounds like a plan to me. Don
