Default Price check on 27-2... UPDATE: brought it home today

... A buddy called me up with a 27-2 nickel with 3 1/2" barrel. No box or goodies, according to him it's been fired very little and is in very good condition. He's asking $700. Deal or No Deal??? Thanks in advance for your opinions.

to me, "very good condition" is 98-99% with original grips.
I'd buy it

Jump on it!...but since he's a friend see if he'll take $650. I'm looking for a blued 3-1/2", and expect to pay $700+, nickel is worth a little more.

I think that would be a good deal. I just would want a box.
That barrel length is very popular right now. Good luck! Don

Beautiful looking gun, you did GREAT! Those stocks look awesome on it, and they are worth a few bucks on their own.

Thanks for the kind words.
A little more detail... By the serial number it's around a 1975 DOB, very faint turn line and a hairline of flame cutting on the top strap so not a lot of rounds through the gun, no cosmetic blemishes that I can see other than the turn line and a small patch on the stocks where the finish is gone around the bottom of the speedloader cutout (can't see it unless you look for it). Locks up and functions just like new.

She will be lovingly maintained but I will enjoy shooting this beauty for years to come.
