| | Model 19 2.5" Nickle made with square butt? I have a 19-3 6" nickle that is one of my favorite guns. I'd like to find a 2.5 friend to keep it company.
I've found a few nice 2.5" nickle guns but they all had the round butt on them. So, my question is if the square butt was even made on the 2.5" Nickle version.

| | To the best of my knowledge S&W did not make any 19's with a square butt for any barrel length less than 4", in any finish.
If you are lucky enough to find a 2-1/2" barrel for a 19, you could replace the barrel on a 4" (or longer) and you'd have a SB 2-1/2" 19.
Depending on the grips you want, you could use a set of RB to SB conversion grips. |

| | Love my 19-4! It comes in second place behind my 3" 66-2 as my favorite S&W. They are both tack drivers for the snubby little sizes. Buy the 2.5". You won't be dissapointed!
Mine wears Ahrends RB's. Great grips for my hand size.

| | Thanks, Guys! I'll find a nice round butt and put the conversion grips on it or just learn to shoot the round butt.

| | Model 19 square butt Here's one that was made post-factory...... I picked it up from a collector in Texas. According to S+W it started life as a 4 inch.

| | I have had a 2 1/2" 19 for over 30 years.
I am not a 357 Mag carry gun kind of guy, I bought it for Snubby PC Matches.
I must have been very lucky, as this 2 1/2" gun shoots as good at 25 yards as ANY custom PC gun I have ever fired.
And I have fired most of the top name PC Guns...
Sometimes I wish I was a 357 Mag kind of guy, as the 2 1/2" 19 is a sweet carry gun...
But alas... IF the Bore don't start with "4", I do not take it out the door... |

Every 19 that I have in my collection is a great shooter. It's just about the "PERFECT" revolver and one great carry gun in 2.5 inch. |

| | I really, really do not like round butt guns, but I fitted a 19 with 2.5 inch barrel with the pachmeyer grips and it is shootable. | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
