Default newbie here, M37 info needed

Hi all, very cool forum. Several years ago I inherited my fathers model 37 air weight. It's pretty special to me as my dad and I enjoyed firing it back in the day. The earliest I recall firing it was the very early 70's. I'm interested in the model year of it. The serial number is 21J4XX. It still retains it's original box, paper work and cleaning rod. The condition of the gun itself in near perfect. My father was a sportsman and taught me to take care of our equipment. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
DC

Welcome to the forum. I'm going to let one of the experts advise you on your gun's date. Some of the J serial numbers are a little confusing to me. Enjoy your Dad's gun and those precious memories.

Hi, made in 1971-'72, the standard reference book for serial numbers is a little vague on the year. Enjoy that gun and the memories.
