Default Works of art...

Hi all,

I am sure everyone here is already aware of this but I have been looking at my 27-2 a bit lately. These things are works of art! They are precision instruments and beautifully made to boot! The bluing is amazing on these old guns as is the colour case hardening on the trigger and hammer. In the sunlight the colours are awesome. The topstrap checkering is perfect, the balance of my 6" is astounding and they look the part too. Tough and rugged but with a visual balance as well....

I may be ranting just a bit but, geeez I love this old gun

Here is a pic of my 27-2 showing the bold case hardened colours and deep blue

The Model 27 is my favorite S&W revolver in terms of looks and feel. They are just really something special and the checkered top strap is simply amazing to me and adds so much to the gun. You are now in serious trouble because it's difficult to own just one.

I highly caution you on viewing the Smith & Wesson N frame .357 Hand Ejectors as works of art. That philosophy can creep into a whole new meaning and get you in trouble on a different level. Don't ask how I know.
Great looking 27.

Stop it. I can't afford to collect any engraved "art". Factory models are all the art I can afford, ahhh***sigh****.

That hammer, and trigger, have the most BEAUTIFUL case hardening, I have EVER seen.

The only thing I have seen to rival it, was a Colt single action I had years ago.

Bill,

Who the heck scratched up those two beautiful revolvers, Ha-Ha?

They are drop dead beautiful and most of us would give up something very dear to have ONE!!! The poor guy doesn't know what he's in for does he as N frames can become contagious.

Sure doesn't sound like you'll be trading it for a FIE, Titan Tiger anytime soon!
