I'm in the market for a M60, probably 2". I thought they were only available in .38, but have read some posts refering to them in .357 also. Are they in fact available in .357? How about the M36? Thanks...
When first introduced in 1965 the M60 was S@Ws first stainless handgun and was only available in .38 Spl. In the 90s the J-frame .357s came out and they've been making m60s in this caliber ever since. The original had fixed sights but I believe both fixed and adjustable have been offered. The M36 has always been just a .38 Spl. Hope this helps.
If you can swing it, shoot the .357 J Frame before money changes hands. The recoil is fierce, and most people go with a +P 38 load anyway. No need to pay for the extra bulk if you are going to shoot the 38's anyway.
