The ’lowly’ Model 10 / M&P would languish in many Dealers display cases for years while I growing up & pretty much throughout my 32 year Career in Law Enforcement. Now however, as many of us have grown older we tend to respect & long for these long neglected Models !! Personally, I was initially trained on a old 4” M&P, also the M64, also 4” HB, & I’m still fully confident when I have one in my hands, properly loaded of course. To me, it’s your basic ‘fighting revolver’. Yes it has been somewhat outclassed to the recent auto genre, but it will perform if you will !

Best, Dom P.

my 10-6 has a serial number starting atfxxxxx-59. Is the atf prefix just a coincidence or did it really have something to do with the feds?

I forgot to show pictures of my gun. Gunsmith cut the barrel to 3", slab sided it and cut a front dovetail for a sight. Action is very slick. Carries great. Someday, it will get refinished. I think the work only came to $100 but transformed it into a great gun!
