Hi,
I have a Model 27-2. Is there any trick to removing the front sight blade? I see a pin in there. Is that all there is to it? Knock out the pin? |

Just pinned in. Why do you want to remove it? New sight?
I recently had my 29-2 changed to a patridge front (from Midway). Was going to do it myself, but chickened out and took it to a local 'smith. $20 bucks later its perfect. If you do do it, order the sight AND a new pin. Last edited by krehmkej; 02-08-2010 at 08:40 PM. |

And, does anybody know what size drift pin and drill bit I should I use? Last edited by T.Webb; 02-10-2010 at 01:29 PM. |

Just drifts out. Small punch, be careful of messing up. Then, the new blade has to be drilled in the exact spot to hold it in place. I probably could have done it, but for 20 bucks I let the local smithy do the deed:
