Most Accurate
The most accurate pistol or revolver I own is a Model 15 S&W 38 Special. It out shoots anything else I own. If a person had to get into a pistol fight with something this would be the gun. There are enough good heavy duty ammunitions these days so hitting power is not a problem. Open sighted it is accurate and fast. Anyway thats my opinion.

As accurate as my S&W revolvers are, I've have a 28-2, 4-inch that is so accurate, it never fails to amaze me. In my world, it's in a league all by itself!

Used to be able to shoot the head off a fly sitting on a target at 25 feet with a 14-3 with a 6" tube...those were the days.

M52 loses!
I have a 629-2 with an 8-3/8" barrel with iron sights that will shoot any load from 44 spl targets to hot, heavy 44 mags with frightening accuracy. 60 / 60 at 50 yards bullseye is no big deal. I sold a M52 and bought this revolver 10 years ago. I could never shoot the 52 this accurately.

My Model 14-4 is the most is the most accurate repeating handgun I have ever shot. I guess since S&W now owns T/C I can mention my 14" .223 Contender, the most accurate handgun I have ever owned.

Not a revolver, but my model 52-2 is undoubtedly the most accurate gun I've ever shot. It's SO GOOD, it's scary.

In revolvers, pretty much any .44 spl was deadly accurate for me.
In pistols, the model 41, 7 & 1/2" bbl, w/muzzle brake.

I have owned a boat load of S&W revolvers. Most accurate of them all is the 625-2 Model of 1988 that I currently own. It is breathtakingly accurate.

An early 686 with 6" barrel, and a Pre-27 with a 3 1/2" barrel. Both will shoot under 2" at 25 yards. Or, at least they used to when my eyes were younger.

Well I havent shot alot of different models but the few I have shot all held point of aim very, very well. No dash 66 and 28 were both pretty accurate.

I understand your appreciation for the Model 15. I go back and forth between which is my favorite - my Model 15 or my Model 14. I guess it depends on which one I am shooting at the time.

My old 25-2.
I feel as though I could shoot with eyes closed and it will make a hole where I was thinking it should.

I have shot a bunch of different revolvers,in all calibers, but back when I had younger eyes, I could never get anything to shoot as good as my early 70's Colt Python. It is an amazing revolver.I once got upset with a 6" model 27, and traded it for something else because it would not group like my snake.

So far my most accurate revolver is my 629 DX, shoots less than an inch from a rest at 25 yds.

8 3/8" Model 14-4. Although, my 7 1/2" H&R 676 with the .22WMR cylinder is no slouch, either. They're both serious tack drivers.

For years I though my 686 was as best I could get. (And i was just not that good.) But the M14 is, by far, more accurate and consistent for me. That un-shrouded 6" with target grips just works for me.

My 4" Model 15-4 is my most accurate handgun. Actually it has been taken over by the wife so I guess it is now her most accurate handgun.

After 40 years of carrying and shooting revolvers; almost all of them Smiths my most accurate Smith is a 625 JM with a Sierra JHP 200 gr and some Power Pistol.
one hole groups at 25 yds double action with witnesses to range and action.

I have owned my 14" Contender in 223 for over 20 years now and I would agree wholeheartedly...... except it is really a hand held rifle! No cheating here!
My most accurate is my Colt Mark IV Series 70 Gold Cup (at 25 yards) with my model 52 and model 41 hovering close behind. My most accurate Smith beyond that distance would be a toss up between my 686 8" and my 29-2 8 3/8" out to 100 or more. I have always enjoyed busting rocks and things at great ranges, walking the bullet to the target by sight. Fun stuff, and both of these are great at it, provided I hold up my end. Probably why I enjoy my Contender so much.

Model 21 44 special and Model 28 357. Both extremely accurate guns. Only semi auto I have that's equivalent in accuracy is my Sig 220ST. That thing will SHOOT.

Good call-Obviously a lot of people have never shot a proper M41 with good ammo.
Good shooting.

All of my S&Ws are very accurate, but my Model 617 with a 6" barrel is definitely the one I shoot best with.
