Wow, what a deal! Mrs. ENGINE18 sometimes asks me if I want to go to garage/estate sales and I always decline. That will change!

That is an extremely nice one. Good Find!
About ten years ago, I had a chance to buy a pre-war Winchester lever action rifle chambered for 30-30 Win, for under $200 at a friend of the family's barn sale. It had a factory installed tang micrometer sight. I think the seller's uncle had bought it new in 1938 or thereabouts ...
Well, at the time money was tight, my wife was right there glaring at me, we had some major expenses coming up, so I passed. Haven't seen anything like it since. You have to buy 'em when you see 'em.

That's awesome! Around here, I see a lot of bows for sale at rummage sales...but not usually firearms.
I could just about kick myself for some of the stuff I saw for cheap...was a kid and just didn't know how good of a deal a thing was.

NEVER pass up a G-Sale...
I picked up a Colt SAA .38 Spl. 5.5", first month of production of Gen. 2, with a 50s metal re-enforced quick-draw rig for $300. I sold the rig for $100.
NEVER pass up a G-Sale...

My best garage sale find was a like-new Colt Sporter AR-15 with a low 5-digit serial number, Colt 3x handle mount scope, 10 20-round Colt mags, and 200 rounds of LC 5.56 in Stoner experimental XM249 links for $300. Of course, this was 25 years ago. I sold 100 of the Stoner links for a buck each to recoup some of my investment. Shortly after that, I found out that they were much more valuable than that. Oh well, I guess everybody ought to get some kind of bargain.

If you go to a sale and don't see any firearms, ask them if they have any. You may be pleasantly surprised.

Wow! That is a sharp gun and a great deal. Put some stag on that one and it would be suitable for carry on Sunday and special occasions.

plus 1 on what charlie said. If you don't see any, ask. Especially when being run by little old widow ladies. Many don't want to touch Elmer's old guns but if you ask you may find the mother load.

Nice catch! To date, I never have been at the right place at the right time to snag a diamond in the rough. Maybe my turn is overdue ~
