Lew Horton 24-3
Just wanted to give a special thanks to "whitecoyote" for the prop rod as well as "VM" for getting my grips in amazing condition. Better then those new looking things. Ive been waiting for awhile to get a 24-3 and got it for 400 bucks. Quite a steal if I do say so. Just putting up some pictures because I like snub's.

Makes you feel warm and fuzzy all over to get a gun you've wanted at a great price. That's nice.

Anyways, ah so you to have one in SA do you go to the Saxet Gun show by any chance lol? Finding ammo for this gun was sorta =/ had to go to Bass pro shop to get some.

WARNING!!!!!
Congratulations on the model 24 - they are great guns.
But I have to warn you, it might be a carrier of a disease that will cost you money, and no medical insurance will cover the bill!!!
For once you buy one 3" N-frame S&W, you will suddenly feel the need to have more, and in some strange way we can't explain, they go out of their way to find you.
I was like you, just over a year ago. I found and bought a 24-3 3" 44 Special, and I was happy.
Then, while out on a motorcycle ride, I found a 625-3 3" 45 ACP that needed a new home. Then a few weeks ago, a 657 3" 41 Magnum sneaked onto my dealers shelf knowing I would find it.
Along the way, they also got word out to their K-frame cousins, as a 65-5 3" 357 Magnum Lady Smith jumped up at a auction I was attending.
I'm telling you, it's a plot! I'm not sure what there REAL goal is, but as long as my wife doesn't find out, I'll play along.
Enjoy your new S&W, but be careful - they like to travel in packs!
Take care,
Bob S.

Round butt combats on Ebay list at $250 a pair.
I would say you got a "Great" deal.
BTW...Messer is right...."they like to travel in packs!"

I alway go to the Saxet gun show. I purchased my 24-3 at the gun show several years ago. Every now and then you can find 44 special ammo at the gun show. There is a Saxet show this weekend...

I have only had mine for 3 weeks, and yes, I am looking for a 25 3" already. It will fit in between my 24-3 and 625JM, uh... I will need extra moon clips too.
I wish there wa a generic cure for this disease, but I see nothing but Smiffs in my future.

That M-24 sure cleaned up nice. I thought it looked good when you showed it to me in San Antonio, it looks better now. I got mine because when the 4 and 6 inchers came avaliable I didn't have the funds to get one. a few years later they came out with the snubby and i bought mine new from a cost plus 10% dealer and paid $350.00 for it. I've got the 4 and 6 inch pistols now but I've only shot the 6 inch. As for ammo reloading is the only economical way to go.
