Model 43 is mine now. What is DOB?
My insurance guy is bringing me a M43 to look at tomorrow. He says it is used, but nice. No box, just the 43. What is it worth? Anyone have any ideas?
Update- I got it. It has a flat latch and diamond grips SR#495xx
Anyone know the DOB?

Is it model marked in the yoke? The serial number places it between 1955 and 1959, but since they didn't start model marks 'til about 1958, this would help you pin it down a little closer.

Well there ya go then. It's either 1958 or 1959 and only a factory letter will pin it down any closer. The number puts it a lot closer to 1958 though. HTH
