A S&W M-58 converted by Hamilton Bowen to resemble a 38/44 Heavy Duty.
Cal. still 41 Mag., my favorite.
Ivory grips by Don Collins.

Wow gunnut, at first glance, I thought that you had 3 chests of drawers in the background of your picture. I then realized that it was 3 stacks of presentation boxes! You really are a N frame nut. I would like to be a nut like that.

No wonder these presentation cases are getting more expensive and harder to find...

Only three but I love them
First n frame, got it 28 years ago from my dad N104xxx 4 inch model 28 with numbered grips but stag for the pic. Action job dome by ISP armorer in 82 and a red insert installed.at the same time.
Model 28, 6 inch that came with shooting stars stocks, serial # S288xxx.I just picked up of GB for $325 buy it now.
629 no dash, 4 inch pinned and recess I got last week. The top model 28 was my first handgun and this 629 is my most recent.
A very humble start and restart. I hope to add more to my humble start as time and money permits. My next one? A 4" 29-2 or 3.

Here's a not-so-great picture of a few. From the top: 27-2, 29-2, 29-4, 21-4.
Here's the 21-4 with a 624, and another non-N frame .44Spl.

Here are my .44 magnum N frames along with other brands.
And a couple of 29-2s
I'm getting close to my goal of owning forty four .44 magnums. I'd do the rest of my n frames but it would take a while.

Well, I'll be a little selective here and show just two.
My longest-owned N-frame, which is still in terms of manufacture my newest gun: a 629-6 I bought a couple of years back and adorned with Kurac ebony stocks:
My most recent acquisition, which in terms of manufacture is my oldest N-frame, a .455 Triple Lock that has been converted to .45 Colt.
In between these extremes there's some good stuff that I have posted in other threads over the months.

Our own VM did those for me. I sent him a butchered pair of targets and told him I wanted a set of PC Targets like these and that is what he came up with.
I made this pair for my Mdl 58 44 years ago and just got use to them.

For Those Pards Who Asked About My Pic,
That was an absolutely ugly Smith and Wesson that was for sale on one of the auction sites about a year or so ago. It was ridiculously priced very high and never sold. There was much discussion here about it as to what it really was, i.e. "An Outdoorsman? A M1917?"
I have a large folder in my "Documents" that has a lot of photos of S&W revolvers from this site and other sources. That revolver is in the folder labled, "Ugly Smittys".
Here's several of my N-Frames.

This one? Its a 629-5 2.5" barrel fixed sight (product code 103839), made for Camfour Distributing Co. in year 2000. Each one is numbered...mine is #013. These were shipped from S&W with Hogue rubber grips.
Supposedly 300 were made. I guess only S&W knows for certain. I think there are some new versions out there with the internal lock...but not for me.

jimmyjoe...both the 28 and the 629 are very nice! I'm especially drooling my coffee this morning over the Mountain Gun...nice case colored hammer and trigger and no lock...nice wood to top it off! Very nice.
