Default Model 60 no dash, hard trigger pull?

Morning, I purchased my second Model 60 yesterday. Pinned barrel, serial number R244571. Except for the usual scratches and some holster wear on the cylinder it seems to be in good mechanical condition. Lockup is tight, alignment good, action smooth, hammer stays back when pushed, etc. The big difference I notice between this M60 and my other one is the amount of pounds of pressure it takes to pull the trigger. As noted, the action is smooth, it just takes a lot more lbs of pressure to pull the trigger to start the firing sequence. Can a gunsmith adjust this to lower the pounds of pressure to pull the trigger? How done? Any other thoughts? Thank you for your time!!

Nice pick up. As far a lightening the trigger pull. You can replace the main spring from the stock 8/2 lb to an 8 lb spring. Also a lighter rebound spring will ease the heavy trigger pull.
You do need to be certain of full trigger return when you lighten the rebound spring. A lighter main spring MAY cause misfires, so be CERTAIN to test the gun with several brands of ammo after spring changes.
So folks will tell you to shoot the gun as is, and learn to accept the heavy pull. This is especially true if this gun will be used as CCW, I personally prefer the spring changes.
Just my 2 cents, worth what you paid for it.Good luck.
Tom
