Default mdl 629 in .357 mag ?

Hi everybody !

Here am I for another stupid question !

A guy I met last saturday told me that he owns a S&W 629 chambered in .357 magnum (I didn't see the stuff). Did you ever meeet such a strange thing (to me) and why do you think it was made for ? Or is it – once again – a mismarked model?

Thanx to you

He's probably got a 627, a mismarked gun, or he's just plain bumped his head.
