I received this as present today, about 90%. Lockup very tight. Hammer, trigger (serrated), and star are case colored. Serial 8D656XX. Probably born 1981 or later as logo on left side not on side plate. It is a RB.
What's this puppy worth? New Nyclad ammo a good selection? Any special cleaning and polishing advice or restrictions because of the finish?
Thanks in advance.

Yep 1981 was the born date. As for value, at 90% I would say about $300. for cleaning don't use anything with ammonia on a nickle gun. Nyclad ammo will be fine, it's what I use. You can use +P ammo if you like. Don
Did my usual go over on the internals and discovered one of the feet on the main spring had broken off. I normally change it out for a ribbed regular power Wolff anyway. Put in a 13 pound rebound spring and boy it has a sweet trigger now!
Lesson to everyone to always check a 20-30 old SW revolver on the inside first if you intend to use for carry or home defense. I assume it could have locked up at anytime with a broken main spring foot.
