I like the 5" length but don't care for the sight. Needs the original ramp.

I thought this one was original when I bought it used out of the shotgun news 35 years ago. I lettered it and found it was shipped to stoegers in 1964 in 6 1/2". I do have the original cokes stashed. The odd thing is once at a gunshow I found a identical 5 " only 7 numbers off this one! Both looked flawless with writing well centered, perfect crown etc. (I have had others to compare with). It blew me away to find it had been cut! I still wonder if a mistake could have been made in the records. I still am big time fond of it!

Looks alot like a Dave Clements sight. Nice sights for sure, but I also prefer the RRWO, esp on a gun like that.

It could it have been cut at the factory, did you look for a re-work date on the left side of the grip frame? That would not be reflected in your letter; Roy Jinks had no way to link the original shipping info with a later factory re-work, but will soon.

You have me wondering. I will have to pull it out latter and look. Usualy I know to do that, but I cant really recall doing it! I know I have changed grips. Thanks!
