Default Target hammers & triggers

What is the approximate dimensions of them? And in the case of the trigger is it grooved or what? My new 28-2 seems to have the biggest hammer spur and widest trigger I've ever felt before. It's freaking me out a little bit lol. Any help is appreciated guys, I don't know enough about it to be worth anything and I've only had K/L service guns before now anyway.

Hammers: .265 (wide) = service
.375 - .400 = semi target / combat
.500 = target
Triggers: .265 = service
.400 = semi target / combat
.500 = target
Your 28-2 should have a checkered hammer and grooved trigger.

That's exactly what they have, but without my mic I won't be able to get the dimensions of them. I am assuming they are of the semi-target/combat variety just based off a sleepy eyed estimate, but I will confirm it tomorrow. Thanks for your help.

The .375/.400 trigger is slightly narrower than the triggerguard, while the .500 trigger is a little wider. Easy to tell just by looking, don't have to measure them.

Then I do indeed have the combat trigger. What about the hammer spur? Any good/easy visual to estimate it?

Don't you have a ruler anywhere around there?

I will add on to the list of dimensions posted earlier:
Hammers:
.265" service
.375 " semi-target
.500" target

Triggers:
.265" serrated service
.312" smooth combat
.500" serrated target
.400" serrated/smooth target

In the early 1980s, around the time of the deletion of the barrel pin, the target triggers were reduced to .400". This was probably because the .500" size sticks out past the trigger guard. Comparing the triggers on my 1971 model 29-2 with my 1984 model 25-5, the difference in width is noticeable.

Any loose change in the area? A dime is just over 1/2" (13 mm).

The dimes that I have are 1/16" under 3/4" or 11/16" but the one I measured had not yet gone through the washer.
