Default Arkansas State Police Model 66

I might have a shot at a ASP Mdl 66, 4" P&R. Gun has the customary police wear on the right side, and a few seatbelt dings, scuffs, etc. There is a large chip in the grip under the trigger guard, but not noticeable by feel. The great thing is that the gun is very clean inside the cylinder and barrel. Seems to only have been shot to qualify. The ASP emblem is engraved on the sideplate. The gun still looks great.

I wasn't sure what to offer. Has anyone seen one of these sell, or have one? Any advice will be much appreciated.

I'd be interested in hearing some opinions on this as well. I've had my eye on a 66 with a 2 1/2" barrel that's also marked from a local PD for a little while now. I'm not sure what type of effect that has on value.

Hogstr - well, the old SW 66 is a fine sidearm, they seem to bring between 400-500 these days. Some folks, like me, prefer the older ones.

PD, SP, HP guns have a definite following although some shooters avoid Identified guns. It is a desirable gun, imo, and the seal has an added appeal, at least it does to me. WG

Maybe this should be in the forum above since it is P&R?
