Nicest 36 3" Offered to Me-Pics
I wanted 3 inch 36 to use as a carry gun and shooter and I get an email from a guy wanting to sell me this 36 no dash. Jeeeez it's mint and stunning, not even a turn line!. Too nice for what I was looking for and my usage. He offered it to me for $440 shipped. Would do you guys think?

Value is, of course, subjective, but I'd be tempted. Those stocks are very nice, great-looking gun.

You can not buy a new gun of that quality for the price. Your biggest problem is you will be posting "is it too nice to shoot?".

That's exactly what's going through my mind. I'm not going to have a safe queen, that's just not me. I wanted a shooter, I'm not a collector and have no desire to be one. But of course I love Smiths and very much appreciate their quality. I'm going to have to think on this one a bit.

A few weeks ago I picked up a nickel 3" 36-1 in excellent condition (DOM 1977) for $399.00. That was about $25,00 more than the going rate but I don't regret the purchase one little bit. This deal sounds a bit high but what's $40.00 after all? Lunch for 2 at Applebee's?

If you want a 3" 36, you should definitely buy that gun. Later, you can post a question as to whether to shoot it or not. It has good grips, good barrel length, and beautiful condition. I would probably buy it and shoot it, and carry it when appropriate. You're only paying shooter price for it, IMO. If you later find a shooter even cheaper, you can sell the first one. It shouldn't take long.

Buy the gun; if for no other reason than the grips. Wear the gun 3 months daily and it will look exactly like the one you want.
S&W built them to be carried and shot. I have a 3" Model 60 that fits perfectly in a Don Hume IWB holster and it is quite happy there.

Buy it!
I have a 3" 36-1 and a 3" 60-4. Both are excellent carry guns and amazingly accurate shooters.

Buy it now. Every shooter was NIB at one time. Make this one yours.

Don't think too long, that is a fine revolver and a pinned barrel to boot! You can not find a new gun for that price of that quality. Buy it and enjoy.

Oh my! That is a sweet M36. I just picked up a M60-4 for the same price and love it. Nice find!

Those stocks in nice condition are getting pricey. I'd pay that in a heartbeat.
