Default K frame thread?

Is there a definitive K frame thread here? One that lists the differences between models. Like barrels, caliber and years of manufacture.
I have done the search and not come up with one yet. And my SCSW has been ordered but not arrived yet.
I own a model 18 and a model 19 and would like to get a better picture of the whole family of K frames. JA

Long list of answers to your questions, caliber, barrel length, year etc. I'm not sure of a dedicated "k frame" thread, but you said you searched, so maybe not. Have you "googled" k frame? Should be able to get lots of info that way.

The SCSW you've ordered will answer just about any question you have.

There's folks on here that can / will answer ANY question you may have of anything S&W.

Try posting a couple of specific questions and see what happens.

There is a whole lot to the world of K frames, but the info you seek is in the book you ordered. All your questions will be answered as soon as it arrives.

Thanks for the replies gentlemen. My SCSW arrived today . It was ordered as a gift for an up coming birthday. But my wonderful wife told me I could have it now. She is a keeper for sure.
I can predict many hours of reading pleasure ahead. JA

After you wear out that SCSW reading it, you will belly up to the bar and be a well known expert. Actually, that will give you all the basic information, then you will be able to spend the rest of your life learning the details and exceptions. Most of us learn something new just about every time we enter the Forum... it's just a lot more fun if you start with that good solid foundation. Enjoy that birthday gift and give that keeper of a wife a big hug for all of us!

Froggie
