Default S&W Model 40 Engraved

Hello,

I purchased the below revolver from a LGS today, and trying to determine authenticity of the engraving. My LGS is very reputable and says based on their experience, this is a factory engraved revolver. A few markings worth mentioning:

Under the thumb latch are 2 dots and the initials "SK"
On frame left side R-S in a box with 276 next to it. (refinish standard Feb 1976?)
The revolver was probably manufactured in 1973 or 1974 based on L8318 serial number.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

The revolver may have been returned to the factory for engraving and refinishing in 1976. Steve Kamyk engraved for S&W for a short period of time and some engravers identified their work by engraving some type of mark or initials (SK?) under the cylinder release latch.
