Default Identification Help Please

Alright so I am new to this Forum because I just inherited some handguns from my Grandfather. I am going through and trying to identify a particular wheel gun. It is a Smith & Wesson and all it says on the barrel is .22 LONG RIFLE CTG. I believe it may be a K22, here is the serial # 212K678. What kind of gun is this, and what kind of value does it carry. I will most likely keep all the guns, my curiosity is just getting the best of me right now. Thanks a lot guys.

I can't get pictures up right now however it is a blued finish, almost black, with a 6" barrel. Hope this helps.

It would be a K-22 Model 17. Open the cylinder and behind the crane on the frame is the model number.
It's not real old, it was shipped in 1982.
Nice gun, don't ever get rid of it.

If the bluing is really good, I would say $500 to $600

I recently sold a 17-3 (a couple years newer than yours) that was in about 98% condition for $550.
