What a great thread! I became an official member of the Cult of the .41 Magnum when I acquired my M58 about 6 years ago.

In fact, I was just shooting it the other day with some handloads put together over the winter. Great shooter too! I've got the 'Police Load' dailed in with the 215gn coated HC boolits and Unique. The sights hit right to POA.

I've also played with the heavier 250gn & 265gn boolits, but quickly found POI tended to be way high unless velocities are kept low. I was able to download these slugs enough that POI is now pretty close to POA with the 58's frt sight buried in the rear 'notch' sight.

Mine is: N2733XX. Not for sure on the 'born-on' date, but I'm guessing it's an early '70s build.

Yea...I love zombie threads, since like a zombie, the .41 supposedly died a long time ago and just refuses to go away...
