Hello all,
I'm looking for a nice set of stocks for my Model 67-1 to compliment the factory magna/Tyler T-grip setup I typically use. I've seen some gorgeous examples of Craig Spegel's work here on the forum, and I'd appreciate it if you can show pictures of your revolvers wearing his stocks to help me decide on which style and wood to choose.

Please list the style of stock (boot, full size, round or square butt, etc), wood type and grade, and host gun in your post. I'm also looking for a set of his Browning Hi-Power grips to replace the Hogue's mine has worn for the past few years, so this thread will help me in both goals.

Obligatory picture of the Model 67 in question attached.

Good pictures all. Please note the type of wood, if you will.

Standard grade and it's Bolivian Rosewood I think as I ordered them 3 years ago. My first Browning HP I sold I left the Spegel Coco Bolo grips on it and that was a huge mistake because they were killer.

I noticed that as well, which is why I'm trying to figure out what I want before his order books open up again.

And Black_Talon, I think you made my decision for me. Both the guns and the grips are gorgeous. I'll have to order a set of checkered K-SQs for myself, probably in Bolivian Rosewood or some type of Walnut.

Default More pics of Craig's handywork....

Craig's grips are the best "feeling" grips out there, IMO. They look great as well. These days, I favor his grips with S&W medallions, they look more "appropriate" again IMO.

N frame RB to SB Conversion Targets (w/short extension)

N frame RB Boot Plus (standard extensions)

Mixture - Top two guns RB to SB Targets, bottom Standard RB boot profile, next one up RB Boot with short extension - All N frame M627's

K frame RB Boot grips in Birdseye Maple

K frame RB Boot grips in Macassar Ebony

K frame RB Boot grips in Cocobolo

K frame SB Targets with short extension (cocobolo)

K frame RB Boot Plus (standard extensions) in cocobolo

K frame RB Boot grips in Bolivian Rosewood

A Special Pair he makes every 1000 grips made, this set in American Black Walnut from his property.

Here are a few pair without medallions....

K frame SB Boot with short extensions, checkered

K frame RB Boots, checkered

J frame checkered (cocobolo) on my old worn out Bodyguard M38

J frame Centennial "high horn" boots, checkered

Enjoy

I'm bumping this from the grave, but the stocks arrived today and it didn't seem worthwhile to start a new post just to add some pictures. A teaser is below, but the full album is linked here.

I hopped on Mr. Spegel's wait list soon after New Years 2015, and he contacted me at the end of July 2016. I guess he was waiting until he had enough orders to justify a production run - and it took a while! I wound up ordering square butt extended boot grips in S+ grade Brazilian Rosewood with checkering. They're beautiful, and totally worth the wait!
