Default Two Separate DOB questions

Could someone help me with a DOB of a 2 inch Nickel 10-5 serial # 3D17XXX and a Hand Ejector 38 special serial #3402xx?

Looks like '78 for the 10-5, and 1917-1920? on the .38 HE
