Default 19-3 Front Sight Pinned?

Did the 19-3 have a Pinned front Sight blade so the Owner, or Gunsmith can change the Blade to a colored ramp or Gold Bead ?

The front sight blade is most like pinned to the ramp that is forged with the barrel if the length is 6 inches. Some of the 19-3s with a 4-inch barrel had the ramp/blade pinned to the barrel that were polished flush to the barrel rib (but can usually been seen on close inspection). I am not familiar with the 2 1/2-inch barrel length.

If the ramp is forged with the barrel the blade is pinned separately and can be replaced quite easily.

Thanks, that is EXACTLY what I was hoping to hear .... BTW, it is a 4" bbl that I'm considering.
Thanks again,
Ken
