Model 63 Date of Manufacture?
Hello,
Would anyone have the date of manufacture for a model 63 no dash?
SN # M1463**
I just got back from the range and had a blast. First time I've shot this gun in about 5 years I guess. Usually take the model 17's or Ruger Markll.
Damn nice little gun for packing in a holster etc.
Anyone else have a favorable opinion on these ?
Thanks, JW

It was shipped probably late 1980 or early 1981.
I have M1437XX.

Mod 63 is one of the most "use-able" handguns S&W made. Compact, light weight, accurate, easy to clean, packable. What's not to like.
