Default Helped a friend shoot his new Model 57

Howdy

I was shooting trap yesterday and one of my friends wanted to show me his new pistol. He had just bought a nice Model 57, blue with 6" barrel. No Dash, I'm guessing it was made 1980-1981. Sorry, I don't remember the exact SN but I am pretty sure it was right about N80XXXX. It had a pinned barrel, so I thought this would be the right forum. Real nice shape, just a couple of very minor scratches and a teeny bit of wear to the blue at the muzzle. Other than that it was pristeen. Bore nice and shiny, no pits. It was wearing a rubber Pachmayr grips, he didn't get the original wood grips.

He had paid $45 for a box of ammo, so he knows he is going to have to start reloading for it. I only fired a few shots, I didn't want to burn up too much of his expensive ammo.

He told me he paid $495. I told him I thought he had done good.

Did he?

yep...he did very well...wonder if it came with the wooden presentation case and tools?store bought 41mag.ammo here can run over $60.00...needless to say reloading is the route to go...you can turn out fifty rounds loaded as you want for about six dollars...and far less then that if you cast bullets....he picked a great caliber...congrats!

Nope he only got the gun with the rubber grips. No box or tools. I still think he did pretty well.
