Smith 15-3 3 T's 4inch Nickel
Hello All,
I have this 15-3 with matching box. I not sure of the date or if these are the right grips. Please help with Date and if the stock are the right one. As you will see that the print is on the for these grips. also, every thing is marked on the box.
Thanks so very much.
Mac

Hi
Nice piece.
8K8195 probably points to 1975 (8K1 - 8K20763), but the actual ship date could be later. It takes a letter to be sure.
The target stocks are period correct, but there is no way of knowing if they came on that gun. Since the box is properly marked, your chances are good.

A Model 15-3 with target stocks made of American walnut are correct so they are most likely original to your revolver.

I'm no expert but all the boxes are checked on the box so I see no reason to doubt the gun shipped in full Target configuration. Very cool.
