I have a better collection of 28s! Twelve now!

Default Shooting the Chopper again today!

Hey Fellas,
We had 55° with sun and light winds today in South Central Kansas, so I was able to get out and shoot the Chopped Mod. 27 nearly 100 rounds this afternoon! I shot several targets. Nothing spectacular but all were good. This gun has always been accurate and is one of my favorites! Tomorrow is supposed to be warmer, so maybe I'll get to shoot something else, then. Happy shooting, All!
Dick

Default Test load.

Hello, Boys!
We had some 50 degree weather, yesterday, and I was able to get out with my chopped M-27 and my 6" nickel 586 to try out a target load! It was 3.1 gr. of Clays. This target was fired with my 586, off sandbags at 25 yards. I don't think I've hit the right charge, yet. I used to shoot bullseye with this gun and 2.8 grs. of this powder with a cast 148 gr. wadcutter. Yesterday's load used a 153 gr. cast semi-wadcutter bullet which I've become quite fond of. I think I need to push this bullet a little faster to get the accuracy I want? Hopefully it will come in at around 3.5 grains which still won't be too hot for target shooting. I also tried 2.5 and 2.7 grains of this powder yesterday. 3.1 was the best! As always, the shooting was great fun! Hope you're all getting some shooting in! Merry Christmas to everyone! Hope you all get another gun for Christmas!
Dick
