Default model 36 manufacture date

Hi I received a model 36 free from a friend because his new wife did not want a gun in the house.
Model 36 no dash
square butt
17/8 barrel pinned
ser# j98246
Gun is almost new about 98% I was just wondering how old it might be. Thanks Bill
