Default What is my model 29-2 worth?

Thinking about selling my 29-2 in 8 3/8 barrel. Has a total of 15 rounds shot through it. Aside from that and that I have no box for it. its perfect. No drag line , original grips. Recessed and pinned of course. I know nice ones are getting hard to find with all the features and no flame cutting. I'll load a picture later. I have a 629 I shoot . The 29-2 is too nice and can't bring myself to shoot it. Sounds crazy I bet. I've had it 30 years.

I saw a nice one on the shelf here recently for $1200, but I don't know if it was a 29-2.

Beautiful example of a long-barreled Model 29, but what a gorgeous holster you have made for it!

I wouldn't take less than $1000 for that package, even without the missing presentation case.

I would Shoot it and enjoy it. What a beautiful revolver! I have a couple 629’s but the true blue of my 29’s is special. Sell it and you’ll be sorry unless you really need the cash.

For me as a buyer, not having a box and paper work is a 10%-15% loss in value.

Either he is shooting at 500 yards or the sight was installed incorrectly.

Default Sight was adjusted high from last shoot.

Bummer, The one and only time I shot it at a 200 yard gong I left the sight adjusted high for long shots. I backed it off and now there is just a tad of spring tension where it won't lay flat. Is there anyway to fix this? Or should I just leave it alone. I would hate to remove it and try to fix it. And a used one won't look as nice. What would any of you do?

Although not original to the gun , I would install a Millet rear sight if you could find one.Have used these on several Smith revolvers, and are of superior quality to the Smith & Wesson rather cheap factory rear sight.
