Default A model 27 I'll never forget

Model 27 28 629 Story by Laketime1 | Photobucket

I've had the pleasure to own a good amount of Smith & Wesson revolvers in my day.but one holds a special memory for me.This was my first model 27 ,complete with action job and over sized target hammer and trigger ( .500 ) .Its is shown with my first .44 magnum 629-1.and my first Smith model 28.The 27 dated to 1975 and was a personal gun of my gunsmith. I traded her plus $100.00 in 1984 for my first model 29 with a 6.5 inch barrel.I miss this 27 a lot ,and hope she made it to a good home.It sold just 3 hrs from being in the case at MVP Sporting goods gun counter.Has anyone else regretted selling a great gun?

Too many to be honest. Seemed like a good idea at the time. I am a little smarter these days. However, two come to mind. A 70 series Gold Cup and a SS Python.
