When does the madness end?
There I was, minding my own business, again, when the 15-2 that I had just graciously, at great personal sacrifice, given a new home to, started whining and crying about wanting a playmate. So, being the soft touch that I am, went down to the S&W pound and liberated this K 17 4 screw. From now on, no more nice guy!

You can hear your guns "crying about wanting a playmate"?
Sounds like the madness has only just begun...

You mean.....I'm doomed?? Will I grow up to be that old hunch-back hobbling into the gun store clutching a bag of Krugerrands, muttering something about a...29-2? Say it ain't so!

"it ain't so" because you will be driving your shiny new scooter into the gun store after one of your grandkids takes it off of the ramp on your vehicle.

You kids will understand someday. You have your wife drive you to the gunshop where you grab the 6 or 8 you want and put them on the credit card. Go out of this world in massive debt, clinging to your guns and religion! It's the new American way!
Not only have you contracted a serious disease, you are now starting to hang out with a bunch of cronic clowns that don't even seek treatment :-)

Re: when the madness ends?....
I used to have this plan that I would keep a zero balance on my credit card and use it to purchase something special when I saw it at my favorite shop or any other place. In the mean time I would put my money away and save it as any responsible person should. When I would make a purchase I could pay it off immediately when the bill came (if I charged it) or pay cash of course. Well this has not worked. I also have other goals in life and reasons to save. Sometimes this firearms collecting can get in the way of other things but the madness doesnt end. However when I get on a roll and start saving I hate to buy anything because its good to have the cash savings. I do become a harder person to sell and I really question the need or desire for a particular firearm. This is just what I experience.

it's never about need. it's about wanting. as in, i want that one the first shelf, and those two on the second shelf, and maybe that nice one on the third shelf. pretty soon your safe is full and looking for another safe. and on and on and on.

HEY...I resemble that remark.
First you collect all the different K and N frame models,
then barrel lengths, then model dash revisions, then stainless and nickel versions....After you have all of them you start the J and L frame models.
