Default Matched 66-2's

So my wife and I went over to a pawn shop owned by a friend of ours this morning. We did not intend to buy anything when we went. We were just gonna look around. Famous last words, right?

He had a matched pair of model 66-2's with 3 inch barrels that he got from an elderly couple that was selling their home and moving into an assisted living facility. The wife's has never been shot, and the husband's has only had a few rounds through it. $972 for the pair, tax, tag and title.

Yes, they are now on layaway.

$972 each right? Not for both!

That is the price they "should" be - You had no choice.

I thought the same thing for a long time and finally found one. (I didn't get it for $500!)

Everybody deserves a great deal once in awhile. I am glad one came your way. They are truly a good buy that you can both use and collect.

Long, long ago, in a galaxy far away, a buddy of mine had a 3-inch 66, and I had a 3-inch 657. We shot them a lot, shot each other's, and shot them well. He didn't have much interest in getting my gun away from me, but I openly lusted for his. I eventually traded away the 657, but he kept the 66. Many years later, he still has that sweet little blaster, and I'm still trying to get it away from him. He steadfastly refuses to sell it, and I steadfastly continue to pester him. Maybe someday.

Enjoy those awesome little bullet launchers.
