Default S&W 66-1....

Seems 19's and 66's are being actively sought.

Nice 66-1 and price
While collectors seem to hunt for the early SS site 66 no dash the 66-1 (revision equivalent to the 19-4) is arguably the high water mark in SS Combat Magnum design ....

Good for you, xfuzz! That's a great score on a P&R Combat Magnum, for sure! You'll really enjoy it, I guarantee.

Hope you can sleep tonight, you stole that with all the extras. Love 66s. Looks like a later 66-1 but still pinned and recessed.

Great buy, you have plenty of room even if you have to shim it or have the hand stretched etc. I think they are one of the best guns out there. From what I have been told the white outline rear site was an upgrade as well.

Shoot it and enjoy it.

Of course I have accumulated a fair number of S&Ws over the years and have been fortunate enough to keep quite a few favorites, so the idea of a “one and only” revolver is fortunately idle speculation, but if I were in a situation where I might pick out a single “do it all” revolver, the Model 66-1 would be a specific variant high on my list of desirables. It incorporates the best of Smith’s feature of the era. Congrats on a fine acquisition.

IF the gun hasn't developed cylinder endshake or other problems, you came out ahead by getting the other items. Hopefully, the handcuffs are a good brand, not some Chinese junk. But this is probably former police equipment.

Seller just sent me a pic and the tracking number.
Looks like a complete Safariland basket weave rig
with everything but the belt. S&W handcuffs.

Bore, action, lock up all very good.
This is the leather that came with the 66.
Was advised about the extra's after the deal.
All Tex Shoemaker leather and S&W cuffs.
1981 Vintage model 66....should clean up good.
