Default M66-1 SD Sheriff rework

I have wanted to own a M66-1 for a while, but was unwilling to pay a lot of money. I was checking a state gun trader site and spotted a the M66 that I was interested in at a price that I could live with.

SN 41K28xx

It was beat up but sound. Someone tried the Mother's, Flitz, polish trick but it just came up as shiny dings.

Even the grips were in bad shape. The medalions had been removed and the grips had been varnished badly. When they reinstalled and restaked the medalions they are crooked.

I removed a lot of the dings and scratches, bead blasted the gun even, then installed a decent set of target grips from the stash.

I like to rework salvageable classic, not much for collector value but a very nice shooter.

I'd love to see a close-up of that bead blast finish, if you can do it.

Nice work. My 66 was carried by an LEO. They are great handguns.
