Was reading in the SCSW last night and came upon this phrase in the glossary, "Baumanize". Meaning to convert Mod 27's to a 7 shot cylinder. I've only seen one of these before, when I lived in Houston. It was performed on a Model 520 and had an engraving of "Lucky # 7" on both sideplate and on stag grips. Was a real nice looking piece imo but out of my price range at that time. Have never seen another and didn't know there was a term for it.
So...anyone have one of these? Anyone know of a smith performing this work?
Would assume that Bowen could do it (what can't he do?
), but are there other artisans who are either known for this or capable of it.
Anyone own one?
Any help (or pic or three) would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
